Mrs. Juliza Velasco has dedicated eight years to the Moreno Valley Unified School District, and for the past two years, she has expertly managed the cafeteria at TownGate Elementary School. Her daily operation provides meals and snacks for all 700 of our students, a feat she accomplishes with remarkable efficiency and a welcoming smile. She consistently supports administration and campus staff in the Multi-Purpose Room, demonstrating her exceptional teamwork and ability to maintain a well-organized and productive environment. Ms. Juliza's dedication, positive attitude, and ability to "run a tight ship" make her an invaluable member of our team. TownGate Elementary is deeply honored to have her as an employee, and we are delighted to recognize her contributions with this award.

Moreno Valley Unified Triumphs at RCOE National History Competition

 

In Moreno Valley, Calif., 34 students from the Moreno Valley Unified School District have demonstrated excellence at the RCOE National History competition, advancing with 16 projects to the state level. With 46 schools, including 13 from Moreno Valley, participating in the competition, a diverse range of institutions showcased their talent. Among 386 student entries, Moreno Valley participants secured 34 wins, highlighting their dedication to academic excellence. These winning students will progress to the California State Competition at CSU Sacramento on April 19-24, 2024.

MVUSD hosts first-ever All-Girls Esports tournament in the county

The Moreno Valley Unified School District hosted its first-ever All-Girls Esports Tournament (Mario Kart) featuring students from across the district.The district is the first known district in Riverside County to host an all-girls esports tournament.

Lexia LETRS and Moreno Valley Unified School District are hosting a movie night, featuring the film “The Right to Read.”
