Mrs. Aguilar is being recognized as TownGate’s Teacher of the Year because she demonstrates an unwavering commitment to her students' success, inspiring, motivating, and instilling a lifelong love for learning in all who enter her classroom. She cultivates a culture of learning and acceptance, ensuring every student is empowered to reach their full potential. A gifted teacher, Mrs. Aguilar consistently goes the extra mile to support her students' social and academic growth, giving her best at all times. She embodies a growth mindset, continually adapting her teaching to meet the unique individual needs of her students. Her dedication, passion, and profound impact on our school community make her truly deserving of this recognition.

Juliza Velasco | Nutrition Assistant II

Towngate Elementary School

Mrs. Juliza Velasco has dedicated eight years to the Moreno Valley Unified School District, and for the past two years, she has expertly managed the cafeteria at TownGate Elementary School. Her daily operation provides meals and snacks for all 700 of our students, a feat she accomplishes with remarkable efficiency and a welcoming smile. She consistently supports administration and campus staff in the Multi-Purpose Room, demonstrating her exceptional teamwork and ability to maintain a well-organized and productive environment. Ms. Juliza's dedication, positive attitude, and ability to "run a tight ship" make her an invaluable member of our team. TownGate Elementary is deeply honored to have her as an employee, and we are delighted to recognize her contributions with this award.
